March 8th, 2022 marks this year's International Women’s Day!
International Women’s Day (or IWD, for short) serves as a day to celebrate the many achievements of women worldwide - in all degrees, shapes and forms. It’s a day to increase visibility, call out inequality, and recognize, acknowledge, and commemorate women. The focus of this year is to #BreakTheBias - but what exactly does that refer to?
When you #BreakTheBias, you help to forge equality among genders. This can be in our communities, our schools, our workplaces. Presented by Small Business BC; for this year's panel, we’re focusing specifically on the workplace.
Panellists include:
Anna Chan, Founder of MyMomentum
Natasha Jeshani, President & CEO of Career Contacts
Michelle Kwok, Co-Founder and CEO of FLIK
With Pink Crown Creative’s very own Lindsay Dent moderating the discussion.
Join us as our diverse panellists discuss their own experiences with bias in the workplace, how we can break these biases, and how we can continue to fight against gender inequality at work (or otherwise in our lives) each and every day.
You’ll also learn:
Why International Women's Day is a powerful opportunity to drive change
How to raise awareness and challenge bias in the workplace
Why diversity is so important in the workplace
Resources and funding opportunities available to female entrepreneurs
