✨Oh, Hi!✨
It has been almost a year and a half since I closed my doors to focus on motherhood. 🎀 I have slowly been coming up for air after a few rocky months of trying to insert myself back into the work world. To say it has been difficult is quite the understatement. 🥵
I made the difficult decision to pivot from being an entrepreneur to trying to find a secure role in the corporate world. Unfortunately, the corporate world thus far has not been a friendly place for me. I have questioned a lot of my skills, experiences and identify as a working mother in the workplace. The universe keeps kicking me in the face and I think I am starting to realize that it might be kicking me back into the familiar and creative spaces I once dreamed, built and thrived in. I am reminded of the incredible community and business I built. I am reminded of the reasons I started my own business. I am slowly remembering the passion, the excitement and the joy I once had creating, building and teaching.
I read a quote a few months back that really resonated with me about flamingos. It is said that flamingos lose their vibrant pink colour while raising their young, but eventually regain it. 🦩This was such a beautiful reminder that even though I still feel lost in my identity as a mother, woman and woman in the workplace, I too, will one day find my self again, and I will get my pink back. 🩷
